A Milli (Harmonimix, a.k.a. James Blake Remix) - Lil Wayne
James Blake said in an interview to Pitchfork that he “wanted to bring out the sadness and loneliness in [Wayne’s] voice” when he remixed this track. I would say that’s an unusual way to look at Weezy’s vocal here, but to each his own. And in his remix, Blake has definitely made the song his own. It’s a good early representation of his dubstep-influenced style that recently got him signed to major labels in both American and Britain.
